Contentment

I was drawn to Philippians 4, particularly verses 11, 12 and 13, where Paul says:

'I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do everything through him who gives me strength.'

I find this both a comfort and a challenge. Some of us have been, or are going, through difficult circumstances and yet God is so good and his grace is sufficient for us in the most difficult times. And when we look at some parts of the world, we are so conscious that we have plenty. In this regard I find the parable of the sheep and goats in Matthew 25 to be such a challenge.

I've wanted to make a litle "brag" type book for Tom for ages, he always asks me for photos of the children he could put in his wallet. Also just started reading a book by Francis Shaeffer, a few pages in, and already so challenging. Reminding me that God has blessed me with so MUCH! and that I should strive to live an unmaterialistic life.

Made this concertina mini album, and have written various Bible verses on it.

Flowers!

These are the flower arrangements a friend and I did for the wedding at church yesterday.


Arty Girlz RIBBON and playing with Robo...again!

I love using ribbon, so jumped at the Arty Girlz challenge this week!


Ingredients:
Flower and butterfly pattern designed by me and cut on Robo, Anna Griffin paper, Hero Arts stamp, ribbon and some micro beads.


Had to use the other half of what I had cut, wanted a different look, the detail isn't greaton the picture, stuck crystals and where the glue squidged out, threw on some silver micro beads, the result is really delicate and pretty.

Like I needed an excuse from DCM to use butterflies!!!

I love Design Master

Been playing with DM (Design Master) program that came with my Robo, been wanting to design pretty things that can be used to embellish cards and scrapbooks. Been thinking about selling my designs... what do you think?



SALT - His Presence

His Presence
what does God's presence mean to you?

I wanted to create something I could give to someone to remind them of the Lord's presence, and as I'm playing with my robo a lot at the moment I designed this and cut it out. It's mounted between glass and some recycled plastic packaging. The wire and beads are from a started necklace I found along with some bits of lace and another bit of beads and wire.

Working 2 days a week for Hayley J (Bridal wear designer) and doing voluntary work in Welshpool with young people.

On my to-do list today:

Hoover, phone someone about wedding decorations, start making wedding decorations, start work on Salt challenge.

Visit my family in the US, Mexico, Malaysia and Australia.
Give loads of it away to various charities I know of.
Set up a business/charity/trustfund so the money can make more!

Birthday boy!

Ethan was 3 yesterday!

He had some nice presents, and as Tom had the day off, we went to a new indoor play area that is only 20mins drive away. Then came home for a pasta tea with chocolate birthday cake, that was enjoyed by all!
