DCM Pins and Needles!

Use a pin or a needle is the challengeset by DCM this week.

I took the opportunity to play with a white paint dabber by Adirondak for an eclectic look. Also used white pen to put dots in the centre of the flowers.

Ingredients:
Anna Griffin paper and stamp, HOTP stamp, Prima flowers, White paint dabber, copper embossing powder, white pen, lace, safety pin and butterfly from stash.

BELIEVE - Salt

This week's main topic is 'Believe',
but I (Esther) also wanted to share with you a verse that
has particularly struck me recently which is taken from
Jeremiah 29:11-13

For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

If only we truly believed in God's promises- we would worry so much less. It is such a reassurance to know that we have a great God who is in control of all things.

PLEASE TAKE THIS TOPIC OR VERSE AND MAY IT INSPIRE YOU TO CREATE.

This is what I have done, on all the tags are Bible references to verses with the word Believe.

Ingredients:
Wooden letters by AA Woodcrafts, PP by Kelly Panicci, TLC, K&Co and Diane's Daughters. Flowers by Prima, vintage lace, safety pins and eyelets from stash.

Happy Easter!

Last year I shared with you the words of a great modern Hymn by Stuart Townend. This year I can show you a video of him singing another of his hymns. Please listen and join me in celebrating the death and ressurrection of the LORD JESUS CHRIST. He is my all, in him I have LIFE, life eternal!

Good Friday walk and noodles!

We went to church on Good Friday, got there a little late, as I'd forgotten to take a sling or pushchair for Jadon, so had to go back after 5mins down the road!

The weather wasn't looking promising as it was grey and showery, however it cleared just in time for our church walk at Gregynog Hall. Can't resist showing you some of these pics...

A double rainbow!
After the walk we went back to our Pastor's house for tea and hot cross buns, ended up staying later so enjoyed a nice Chinese takeaway with them. jadon particularly like eating noodles from Tom's plate and ended up falling asleep in them! So cute, and I just happened to have my camera on hand!!!

Wednesday Stamper - Initial

I've nearly finished sorting craft area. Enough to create this R for Wednesday Stamper, the theme is "Initial".

Ingredients:
Stamps by Anna Griffin and Rhonna Farrer. Initial and butterfly cut by Craft Robo. Ribbon.

All change!

Spent the last 2 days sorting and moving rooms!

I had this grand plan to move my paper craft things into the computer room as it was taking over the dining room. i had some steps laid out in my head of what needed to be done before I could do this. I didn't mean for it to happen so soon, but I'm on a roll so I'm going with it!

Just have to say, am so chocked to hear of Anthony Mingella's death! What a blow to the Film Industry! My friend David - who is currently in The passion on BBC1, will also be in THe No 1 Ladies Detective Agency, which I have just found out was directed by Mingella too.

Some pics of the room so far... more sorting to do...

Make a card with Ruth - You are Incredible

Didn't make it to church this am, Luke has a really bad cough, Ethan is recovering well, and Jadon is still a bit wheezey.

So, inspired by Kristina here is a montage of me making a card I posted a few days ago.

Robo card - Birthday

i used the "Shadow" tool on the Design Master programme to create this. Next time I think I'll choose a less fine font for the Happy Birthday, as it's quite difficult not to loose all the bits and then get them stuck down!

Ingredients:
Letters cut with Craft Robo, Pink Card by Bazzil, PP by Anna Griffin, flowers by Prima, flower and butterfly punch.

DCM Teen Spirit

Like I needed an excuse to make a girly card!

Ingredients:
PP and stamps by HOTP, Flower punch by Xcut, other flowers by Prima, and crystals from stash.

Scrapping at last... SALT- Princess

I really struggled getting my Salt challenge done this week. Have finally finished it. Was really good to do a layout, which I haven't done for ages!!! I have not scrapped any wedding pics yet, so it was nice to use the theme that Casey set for us this week...

This fortnight at SALT, I (Casey) want you all to think about and maybe create a piece of art that conveys a message of being His princess! When I first heard that term (HIS PRINCESS) I thought it sounded a bit over the top...but then after reading the Bible and listening to other messages, I realised that we are daughters of THE King. So, daughters of a King are referred to as princesses. So, how does it feel for you to be His Princess? We'd love for you to share your "HIS PRINCESS" creations with us. You can do this by simply leaving a comment on our blog, so we can pop over and visit your blog!

I was looking through some pictures for inspiration and when I came across this one which I have always loved, it just had to be scrapped! Also another excuse to play with my new toy nicknamed robocop!

Ingredients:
Cardstock by TLC, Paper by Sandylion, flowers by Prima, lettering and flower shapes by Robo, stamps by Rhonna Farrer and crystals and flower punches from stash. Tatted flowers and butterfly from the few remainders my mum tattted for my wedding dress.

Di Hickman March #2

Made this about a week ago for my Nephew, who then got a scooter for his birthday, great choice of paper I made!!!

Check out the other fab cards on Di's blog.

Ingredients:
PP by K and Co, ribbon by American Arts, stamp by Whispers, scallop scissors by Fiskars.

CPS 55 and DCM Favourite things

A friend of mine who is discovering the world of digital photography wanted to take some pictures of me making a card. So thought I'd combine the CPS sketch with the Favourite things challenge on DCM.

So I got making while she snapped away. I then had a look at the pics she had taken and most were out of focus, she had had the camera on the wrong settings. So I quickly made another card...

So the first card is for the CPS sketch and the 2nd is made using the scraps! Using lots of my fave products!

Ingredients:
PP by K and Co, Stamps by Anna Griffin and Rhonna Farrer, Prima Flowers, buterfly and stamen punch, Ric rac, staples and brads.

Bety's challenge, Robo and cupcakes

Well, every spare minute this weekend has been put into playing and getting to know my Craft Robo. There's a wealth of info online, there is just so much to learn. I am taking things slowly and trying not to get frustrated with my lack of knowledge.

Bety's challenge this month is a recipe of...

*Use soft colors
*Use some Felt or fabric
*Buttons
*Flowers
*Rub ons
*Some chipboard

I had designed a scallop card and flowers on the robo, so that was perfect, here is the card...

Ingredients: Card and flowers cut by Robo, Laura Ashley fabric, TLC Chipboard and Rubon, Button and thread from stash.

As promised some pics of the cupcakes...

So honoured....

I've just been awarded this...

Thank you so much! Please check out the blog HERE, it is truly inspirational!

Am also having much fun playing with my craft robo, will show you some results soon!

Papertake Weekly - SQUARES

I've been baking cupcakes this evening, been sooooo inspired by this blog and shop. Mine don't look that good! Half my batch is chocolate with lemon butter icing, and the other half is lemon and will have icing tomorrow, not sure wether it should be pink or chocolate. They're for a little girl who is 3 tomorrow...

Anyway, had to make her a card too, so inspired by Papertake weekly here it is...

DCM ... stitching

I love stitching on cards, I haven't done any for a while, so was nice to get the old needle and thread out for the DCM challenge... didn't do anything exotic though, just stitched the lace, flower and ribbon to the card. Stitching is a great way of attaching vellum or "lumpy" things to a card where glue just won't do!

Ingredients:
PP by Anna Griffin, Stampin up! stamp, Prima flowers, button, thread and lace from stash.

Another CPS... this time no 54

Here's the card for the CPS sketch this week, with the added theme of "Oh baby"

Ingredients:
PP by K&Co, stamps by Heidi Swapp and Hero Arts, prima flower, scallop scissors, punchies and doodling.

Luke had his Eisteddfod on Monday, here are some pics of him on stage. He didn't win anything for his singing or recitation, but he did get 2nd prize of 20p! for his version of a Van Gogh painting! He's obviously taking after his mother...

Yes, he is wearing a leek!

Took this pic of Ethan today while we were walking to school, it was a lovely sunny day, and it was the first time this year I've noticed the cherry blossom, can you see it?

When we got home, I was upstairs, and Ethan shouted up to me, he said "Jadon was standing up!", Jadon had pulled himself up holding on to the sofa. Oh dear, I think I may have an early walker on my hands!
